DRANKS AND PAINTS AND VIBES


"I wanna go out, but I don't want to be around a whole lot of people, but I wanna mingle and see new faces and I wanna hear good music but I don't wanna dance."

If you're anything like me, an extroverted introvert, you appreciate a good night out minus all of the extra stuff like heels and crowds you can't move in. I wanted to bring in this past birthday as cool and chill as possible. You know, flats, cupcakes, a drink and a nap.

Well, I started my weekend just the way I wanted to with the Specialty Cocktails + Urban Art Workshop! Yes, we was in there drinking and spray painting. What more can I ask for?


Now, my first run in with spray paint was not a good one. Let me give ya'll a very quick story:

Aight so boom... the year was 2009. I was out with some friends from school roaming the streets of Chicago at night. Keep in mind, I went to an art school so all of my friends were some sort of artists. The guys we were hanging with were sick with the spray paint skills so we asked them to tag our names on the side of a building. NOT. A. GOOD. IDEA. We got in trouble. The end.


Having gone through that earlier in life, it was nice to be able to tag my name without hearing "Hey! What are you guys doing?" Adam Dittman & Javier Dominguez of Native 312 Events really created a dope, comfortable space for guests to explore, create, and learn the history of the art. 


The music was also a vibe! This event happened to occur during the release of singer, songwriter Ami's new project "17" so, we were able to be graced by her presence and her new music which was so dope that it gave me goosebumps! Don't sleep on these artists on the come up. Check her out at officialami.com and be sure to catch one of her shows this summer!

BRIT AIN`T JUST FUNNY

"So are you scared to kiss?" Guys, I`m the most awkward actress when it comes to love scenes. I know what you're thinking. "You're a comedic actress, why are you doing love scenes?", the answer is, because I`m sexy and desirable and dudes want to kiss me on camera. No seriously, I do a lot more than comedy.
